Haaser: “Wow, what a day, what a race, what a brilliant second run. I knew that I could ski fast. Already in
Giant Slalom I had a good feeling, but today’s performance has outplayed everything so far. I dreamed to
see this number one flashing up on the scoreboard. The Gold Medal is by far my biggest success.”

Popov: “Slalom is my favourite discipline. But I’ve made too many mistakes – it simply wasn’t me today.”
Meisen: “After the first run I was fifth and I did no longer believe in the possibility to step onto the podium.
The other competitors were really strong. My goal was a top ten result; it’s crazy that I’ve won Bronze. The
piste was in good shape; actually the whole event is perfect.

Marxer: “In one word: great! I have skied on this slope for more than a thousand times, I know every
centimetre of the terrain. The second run was even better. I want to thank all volunteers who have really
done a perfect job. And finally, one thing really made my day: the many fans who came up to see us in
spite of the bad weather.

Fräbel: “I am perfectly satisfied; I did not expect to be among the best. The conditions were difficult, and
the track very challenging.”

Oevrebust: “Being in the final and finishing on the podium is a huge success for me.”
